 God....another perspective

Everyone except, I believe Atheists,  worship  some form of God. There can be various ways of worship but the most common is a daily prayer. A Prayer is when you pray to god seeking blessings. Blessings generally are full of mercies, pardons and favours. And when asking for these we display unflinching faith in the almighty that all will be granted without any strings attached. No questions asked, no terms and conditions applied. That is our faith in our imaginary friend. Suppose God decides one day to even the equation what then. Will our stoic faith get shaky or our favours and mercies get redefined. What if God starts responding to our prayers. It's a very easy way with the almighty when we are functioning with him at our level singularly. We seek forgiveness mercies favours and they all get granted in some way in accordance to our faith in him. We perform rituals, fasts, penances to influence the happenings in our lives to be in tandem with the Gods will. Your faith in him helps you to glide through life but seemingly a selfish faith. When you seek his blessings at opportune moments you instill a trust in him which in turn gives you the confidence that all will be fine. All good until our conscience comes into play. Our offerings to God are always according to our preferences, because God has never made any demands. So his satisfaction is presumed. Most of the offerings are ultimately consumed by us so a selfish play again comes to the fore. So instead of mumbling a prewritten prayer  how about having a frank talk with our imaginary friend. Tell him about your daily activities, your interactions with people, your judgements, decisions, your responsibilities and the way you cater to your loved ones. How about seeking some truthful self assessment with the highest authority of your life. Isn't it a novel way to cleanse your conscience with someone who has your faith . Someday if God asks you to live according to his will wouldn't our perceptions about him become subservient to our needs from him. Since there is no conversation from the other side, let the conversation from our side be correct so this entire relationship with the almighty becomes more with being human than being spiritual. We seek him in a sanctum sanctorum so let's be sanctimonious enough to seek this godliness in ourselves and others.

    Amazing thoughts put in equally amazing choice of words. It will find resonance in many because most of us indulge in this open house with our imaginary friend sharing our happiness and travails, admitting our flaws and mistakes, promising to improve and thanking for everything given. Guess that is far more satisfying than reciting something prewritten as aptly written by you. Keep writing :-)

    Hi my dear Vani at the outset let. me congratulate you for writing a blog never heard from you. these are your inner qualities keep it up.
    God is my favorite subject I love him and he also loves me which I have experienced. If you are sincere in your approach and firmly believes him he will respond to you as well
    He doesn't demand anything but knows surely your level of believeness.

    My idea of God is,as it's our conscious.Deep in our mind we always think what's right and what's wrong.To correct our thoughts some energy helps us constantly.That is say God

              The Human side of life  Life today is so comfortable and easy if we have  earned the right kind of privileges. This, I say, because not everyone gets access to comfort and luxury. User friendly as the term goes for the wonderful tech savvy inventions which make our day to day life simpler. Be it machines or services provided by people and companies trying to make money in whichever way possible. The end result being making it easier all around for everyone. Just a reminder

Man is a social animal so socializing becomes an inherent nature of a human being. While on a nostalgic tour of my childhood,  I reminisced a few habits of social  interactions which now seem extinct. I remember my dad ,my uncle and aunts, my cousins all sitting in the verandah and talking about everything under the sun. Stories of old times, weird habits of friends, families and acquaintances were always a part of these conversations thus making for a jovial and relaxing atmosphere. Ditto at my grandmother's place, only difference being  it was a daily ritual. It was a Railways  staff quarters colony where every evening the womenfolk used to gather in front of the houses and chat till late night sitting in very dimly lit surroundings on grasses which if in the dried form used to itch.
